Heuristic Goods is my new small business, starting with high quality handmade leather bags and accessories. It’s the result of wanting to use my skills to create things I enjoy and that what I make would be useful and encourage the consumer culture shift towards quality over quantity and caring about how the items we use are made.
When it came to doing the logo and branding, I wanted it to be simple, clean and modern, yet also human and personal. The wordmark is my own writing, which compliments the fact that everything in the shop is both handmade and by me. Avoiding flourishes and keeping it in black and white promotes the values of simplicity, practicality and versatility in all the products. There is also a sense of speed or movement to the writing, which represents personally moving forward in life and the goals of growth through experiential learning.
The photography is meant to show an urban and real-life context that is relatable and stylish.
